How We Started
From a Vision to a Community
Higher Level Living was born out of a deep frustration with the gaps in the housing system — the people who fall through the cracks, the families left without options, and the individuals who simply need a structured, supportive environment to get back on their feet.
We saw firsthand how unstable housing derails lives — blocking access to employment, healthcare, recovery, and community. The answer wasn't just more beds. It was a model built around the whole person: safe housing, structure, caring staff, and the belief that everyone has the capacity to rise.
What started as a commitment to serve a few has grown into a mission to serve many — across Indiana and Illinois, across backgrounds and circumstances, and across every stage of life's journey.
